GX Creative Communications Chooses Pro-Bono Clients

January 19, 2006 - Georgetown, Texas - GX Creative Communications, a full-service integrated marketing communications firm in Georgetown, Texas, selected five non-profit organizations to which they will offer marketing and design services pro-bono. The Caring Place, Williamson Burnet County Opportunities, Inc., Friends of Public Health, Inc., Children's Support Coalition, and The Georgetown Project will all receive pro-bono services in 2006.

In 2004, GX Creative donated 460 hours of service, amounting to $55,000. The total anticipated hours for these projects will be at least 500, for an estimated dollar value of $60,000.

"We received 16 worthy submittals for consideration," said Judith Manriquez, partner at GX Creative Communications. "We've attempted to select a wide range of projects. Each cause had a convincing presentation. We looked for opportunities where our involvement would be comprehensive and meaningful."

GX has a long history of providing a wide range of services to non-profit and community organizations in the Georgetown area. Recently, GX completed a design for the logo, brochure, and tickets for the Georgetown Symphony's 2005 Festival of the Arts, and has several ongoing relationships with groups such as The Georgetown Project and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.

"We are very excited to be teaming with these organizations in the coming year," said Nikki Yoch, creative director at GX Creative Communications. "I'm confident that GX can further each cause for the greater good in every area."

GX will execute the following over the course of 2006:

  • The Caring Place - annual report
  • Williamson Burnet County Opportunities, Inc. - 40th anniversary marketing campaign to include logo design and Web site development
  • Friends of Public Health, Inc. - marketing campaign to promote county parks, park facilities, and hike and bike trails in Williamson County
